9-Week Qualification Course
The 9-Week Qualification course is a full-time residential course that is offered three times a year once in German and twice in English. Its aim is to further qualify participants in the area of conflict transformation. This professionalisation is becoming increasingly important, particularly as peace development and crisis prevention as fields of action in international cooperation are gaining in significance, not only in Civil Peace Service projects, but also, and to an increasing degree, in development cooperation and humanitarian aid.
The 34 days of training (12 Trainings for Peace) deal with relevant topics of conflict transformation and peace development. The individual learning process will be supported by a coach throughout the course. Whereas the coaching module is for a small fixed learning group, additional varying participants join the individual Trainings for Peace in the other modules. This encourages the continual exchange of experiences and includes constant new impulses in the Trainings for Peace and in the course as a whole. The certificate Peace and Conflict Consultant is awarded upon successful completion of the Qualification Course.
