Consultancy as a Key Qualification
Basics of consultancy and special challenges in peace work
Mo. 26. April 2010, 9.00 Uhr bis Mi. 28. April 2010, 18.00 Uhr
Transforming conflicts constructively in order to contribute to a more just and peaceful society is a complex and difficult task that requires comprehensive knowledge in conflict transformation. People with expertise in conflict transformation are increasingly called on for support. However, they – though knowledgeable in their field – are not always familiar with their role as consultant. Consulting in a conflict context largely deals with conflictive processes. This type of consultancy is also at the interface of various fields of activities and has various dimensions. It always includes intercultural aspects and very often it also touches on topics such as the management of change and quality management in the (partner) organisations these people are working with. The training addresses the multifaceted aspects of consulting in conflict contexts and is based on a systemic approach.
