Andreas Zumach is awarded the Göttingen Peace Prize

The Expert in International Security and the United Nations is a regular lecturer for the Academy for Conflict Transformation

In 2009, the Göttingen Peace Prize goes to Andreas Zumach, journalist (for die tageszeitung, Westdeutscher Rundfunk and other media), expert in international security, the UN and related topics. Andreas has been a regular lecturer in the 4-month Qualification Courses and also took part in various panel discussions hosted by the Academy. Congratulations to Andreas Zumach on behalf of the Academy!

The Göttingen Peace Prize, endowed by the Foundation Dr. Roland Röhl, will be handed over on March 3rd 2009. Andreas Zumach succeeds to highly renowned laureates such as Dieter Senghaas, Hans Küng and Egon Bahr. Also the Forum Civil Peace Service, responsible organisation for the Academy, has been a prize winner in 2005.
