Trainings for Peace
Training approach
The Academy offers a wide range of one- to five-day Trainings for Peace, in English and in German, which cover both fundamental and specialised topics within the field of conflict transformation.
The Trainings for Peace are both aim-orientated and process-orientated. Participative methods are used throughout and the participant's expectations, needs and previous experience are factored into the trainings. The combination of theoretical input and work with case studies encourages practical, relevant discussion and an optimal understanding of the course content. Individual and group work as well as practical exercises support the participants in examining and applying the contents covered.
Target Groups
Most of our events are targeted at people with a solid background in the field, such as specialists from the CPS, development and cooperation work, humanitarian aid and related areas. However, some of our events are specially designed for people with less experience, such as newcomers who wish to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to begin work in this field. For each of our courses we include details of the target group within the course description. Please check to ensure you are applying to a course that is appropriate for you.
Trainers
The Academy works with trainers who have considerable practical experience in crisis regions and theoretical expertise in the field of conflict transformation, in addition to highly developed educational skills.
