Profile:
Andreas Heinemann-Grüder heads the Academy for Conflict Transformation since April 2010. During 1999-2010 he held the position of senior researcher at the Bonn International Centre for Conversion.
He teaches Political Science at the University of Bonn. Previous teaching assignments include Free University Berlin,Humboldt University, Duke University, University of Pennslyvania, and University of Cologne. He received his First State Exam in History and Political Science (1982), his Second State Exam in 1985, his Ph.D. from Free University Berlin (1989), and a Habilitation in 1999 (Humboldt University Berlin).
Dr. Heinemann-Grüder is author of five books and several edited volumes, among them the annual Friedensgutachten (State-of-Peace Report, 2007-2010). He has lectured throughout all five continents. His field of expertise is
