Order description

The Academy for Conflict Transformation, a department of the Forum Civil Peace Service (forumZFD) will conduct two consecutive masterclasses for alumni scholarship holders. Each masterclass focuses equally on the exchange of the participants and on a specific topic:

  1. Masterclass 1: Dealing with the Past
  2. Masterclass 2: Trauma and Peace Psychology

The Academy is searching a tandem of online facilitators for the conception and implementation of a series of two two-day masterclass, each day 5 to 6-hour of live session covering both, content and exchange-oriented interaction.
The first masterclass for alumni scholarship holders on Dealing with the past should be held within the second half of August 2021, the second masterclass on Trauma and Peace Psychology should take place in December 2021. The Exact dates and times of the class will be elaborated jointly between facilitators and participants with support from the Academy.

We explicitly ask for tenders to cover both masterclasses and therefore both topics.

The participants of the masterclass will be alumni scholarship holders, who participated in the training course in peace and conflict work during the last two years.

Concept description

Each masterclass should have a clear focus on one aspect and will be specified depending on the needs of the scholarship holders. The duration of one masterclass is planned for two days of each 5 to 6 hours. One masterclass for alumni scholarship holders is planned at the second half of August 2021, the second masterclass should take place in December 2021. The maximum number of participants will be 24, the minimum 6. The group composition may vary from Masterclass 1 to Masterclass 2. The exact duration of each live session is still open for discussion, but should be around 5 to 6 hours.

Each masterclass should be built around two key elements: the content focused within the masterclass and the exchange of the participants. The exchange should not exclusively be orientated towards the content, but give participants the chance to engage on a personal and professional level.

Masterclasses will take place on the videoconferencing platform BigBlueButton. In the preface of each Masterclass the participants will be provided with a selection of basic and further materials compiled by the facilitators, that will be provided through the learning platform Ilias. The Academy encourages the use of additional software and platforms such as interactive whiteboards or brainstorming tools for exchange among participants and can offer there if agreed to in advance.

Masterclasses will be offered in English.
