Having studied International Relations with a focus on Peace and Conflict Studies, International Law and Geography in Germany and the US, I have been working for different NGOs and development organisations on the topics of acquisition, project management as well as project monitoring and evaluation (M&E). After having completed the blended learning course Peace and Conflict Advisor at the Academy for Conflict Transformation (Cologne), I have frequently conducted trainings in (conflict-sensitive) project management and monitoring and I have worked as a trainer for civic education and soft skills.

Subsequently, I was seconded to Ethiopia by the Civil Peace Service for three years as an M&E expert responsible for the programme monitoring. In Ehtiopia, I also conducted trainings for state and non-state partner organisations on the topics of project management, monitoring, conflict analysis and conflict transformation (including RPP and Do No Harm). Currently, I am managing project evaluations (including transitional aid projects and projects in fragile contexts) and I am supporting the conceptional development of an organisation’s evaluation system. Addtionally, I also have analysed conflicts for the HIIK for several years.

As a trainer I like to exchange experiences and to reflect about new approaches that are adapted to the target groups’ needs and specific contexts.
