Boniface Mabanza

Trainer for diversity and identity

Boniface Mabanza was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and wrote his doctoral thesis at the University of Münster on the topic "Justice can only exist for all. Criticism of Globalization from an African Perspective". He has been working as coordinator of the Kirchliche Arbeitsstelle Südliches Afrika in Werkstatt Ökonomie/Heidelberg since 2008, focusing on trade policy, raw materials policy and globalization, and as a trainer for development policy and anti-racism for various institutions. He is active in numerous networks of the African Diaspora in Germany and Europe, has published numerous articles on various Africa-relevant topics, was a visiting professor at Goethe University Frankfurt and from 2018 to May 2021 one of the 24 members of the German government's expert commission on the causes of flight.
