The certificate "Peace and Conflict Consultant" is granted by the Academy for Conflict Transformation upon successful participation at our Full-Time Course or Part-Time Course.
To obtain the certificate, participants are required to meet some objective criteria, and others which are less clearly measurable. The first include the steady and active participation in the entire course programme, its various work and presentation units and the preparation of a written reflection.
The less easily measurable, though nonetheless central, criteria include, for example, the disposition to personally engage in the learning and group processes.
It is crucial that participants should be both willing and able to reflect on their own behaviour and attitudes. They will be expected to discuss this openly with the rest of the group, with the academy and with their trainers. Possible questions will be discussed together with the course management in order to understand the situation, overcome obstacles and reach the course objectives.
The "Peace and Conflict Consultant" certificate is known in Germany within the fields of civil conflict transformation and conflict-sensitive development cooperation. Possible employers in these fields consider it as proof of qualification.
