Dzebam Godlove

Trainer of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Intercultural Communication

Dzebam Godlove Ayaba Bongnwa hails from Nso in the North West Region of Cameroon. He is a teacher in an Early Childhood Center in Bamenda. He is currently doing a Masters Degree in Improving Quality of Education in Developing Countries at the University of Bamberg-Germany and Protestant Institute of Arts and Social Science Butare-Rwanda.

Godlove is a trainer of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Intercultural Communication and in July 2018, he mobilized some Civil Society Organizations in the English speaking Regions of Cameroon in looking for alternative to violence in the ongoing political crisis in the country. He has trained youth leaders from various parts of the country on countering violence extremism.

Currently he is heading an NVC practice group that brings together people in Bamenda who share a common belief in NVC as well as give empathy to each other especially to those who are affected psycho-emotionally by the wars in the Region.

He has supported schools in Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda in strengthening Peace Clubs with special focus on Intercultural communication and Nonviolent Communication. He is also a teacher trainer at the Pedagogic In Service Training Program Cameroon where he works on the Peace Education component.

His membership in the “Africa Giraffe” network has given him the opportunity to share NVC and peace related topics with friends from Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan and more.

He finds pleasure working with young adults and is currently the Coordinator of an association of young people interested in Global Learning called Draufsicht Bamenda.

He enjoys the words of Benjamin Franklin who says „Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”
