Kathrin Schultze-Gebhardt
Trainer for Counselling and Behaviour in Peace Work
Kathrin Schultze-Gebhardt is a Cologne-based political scientist with many years of project and management experience in East Africa, Central America, Israel/Palestine and Germany. She has worked as a freelance trainer, coach and facilitator since 2010.
In Tanzania, she helped to establish a national consulting and training programme on human resource management and organisational development. While running the East African HORIZONT3000 regional office in Uganda, she supported European project staff and local partner organisations and worked to localise structures, facilitate networking among partners and develop partnerships in the region further. Peace work and human rights formed one focus of her work. Upon returning to Germany, she became a consultant and team leader at AGIAMONDO (AGEH) Catholic peace service, where she helped to develop the content and structure of the Civil Peace Service (ZFD) programme.
She has been working freelance for ten years now, devising qualification courses for the staff of development organisations and the Civil Peace Service, moderating conferences and organisational development processes, and offering the accompanying coaching. Respect, reflection on her own experiences, and a personal presence characterise her moderation and consulting style.
