Magiarí Díaz Díaz

Trainer for Self-Care in Peace Work

Magiarí holds a MA in Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation from Innsbruck University and is a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication, USA. She is currently completing a MSc in Psychology from University of Reading, accredited by the British Psychological Society. She is a professional translator and interpreter specialised in peace and conflict studies.

Her passion for supporting Peace Workers comes knowing the struggles of living and working in the midst of armed conflict and humanitarian crisis in her native Venezuela. After experiencing burn-out as a peace activist and educator, she embarked on a mission to find good practices for emotional wellbeing, mental health and care for self, others and the planet.

Her main areas of expertise include Nonviolent Communication and creative approaches to Conflict Transformation through the use of music, dance and clowning. Her current research interests include Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Ecopsychology. She is a keen musician, dancer and clown.
