Paula Ditzel Facci is a researcher, lecturer and facilitator in Peace and Conflict Transformation. She teaches in the MA in Peace, Development, Security and International Conflict Transformation, University of Innsbruck, and in the Graduate Diploma in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies with Emphasis on Emotional Balance, Peace and Mind Institute, Brazil.
Paula Ditzel Facci was a visiting research fellow at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, Notre Dame, in 2017, and a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, Eastern Mennonite University, in 2016. She holds a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University Jaume I, Spain, and an MA in the same area from the University of Innsbruck. Her bachelor’s degree is on International Relations, from Universidade Estadual Paulista, UNESP, Brazil. She has also studied Management of Nonprofit Organizations at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Brazil.
Paula Ditzel Facci is trained as a facilitator of Attention and Concentration in Meditative Practices, Palas Athena Association. She dances since she was a kid, and worked for 5 years with social and educational projects at Faith and Joy Foundation (Fe y Alegría), in Brazil. Nowadays she is dedicated to research and facilitation in the areas of peace, conflict transformation, and creative methods to elicit conflict transformation, with focus on movement.
