Location of face-to-face seminars: Hanover

The training focuses on dealing with conflicts that arise within municipal communities. It recognises that conflict is inevitable where people live together and aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to deal with it effectively. The training encourages participants to develop strong communication skills and to understand conflicts in their specific municipal context. It emphasises that conflict can be an opportunity for social change and stresses the importance of considering different positions, interests and needs. The training aims to provide participants with an analytical perspective on conflicts, enabling them to understand the underlying dynamics and to counter polarisation. It also teaches participants to develop strategies that go beyond their usual approaches to conflict resolution. Ultimately, the training aims to empower local actors to shape coexistence and address conflict in their communities.

Who is the training for?

The training is aimed at people who work or are involved in integration-related issues at local level in Germany. Whether they are social workers, police liaison officers, volunteers in the Integration Council, club leaders, pastors or coordinators of refugee accommodation - they are all united by the desire to take responsibility, to gain confidence in dealing with local conflicts and to develop concrete ideas for conflict resolution.
