Alumni
More than 1700 people have successfully participated in our trainings and courses. They all take an active part in the fields of international peace and conflict work, conflict-sensitive development work and humanitarian aid work.
For our alumni, who live and work in different parts of the world, we offer our regular X-Changes. This network enables them to establish contacts, exchange ideas and reflect on their own peace and conflict work on the ground.
The X-Change takes place online. Here, alumni discuss current political issues in peace work or methodological approaches, share a project experience they have worked on or are working on, or simply put an open question in the room that is on their mind and on which they would like to exchange ideas. Furthermore, it is a place to get to know each other better, to network and to share one's expertise, thoughts or doubts with others.
The following topics have been discussed recently:
- Historical Memory in Digital Age in Guatemala
- Situation in Israel & Palestine after October 7 - Two peace activists share their point of view
- Feminist Movement Building for Peace
- Cracking the Code - Women, Peacebuilding and Systems of Power in Liberia
- Externalised knowledge or transformative experience? Capacity building measures in the peacebuilding field
- Bangladeshi people’s non-violent fight for independence, democracy, and justice
If you are alumni of the Academy and are interested in sharing a topic, question or project, please feel free to contact us at akademie@forumzfd.de.
