Petra Klose

The Austrian-Czech cultural manager studied German and theater studies and has worked in the fields of dramaturgy, directing and production for international festivals, theaters and opera houses. She is the founder of the "Agentur für Künstler & Kulturprojekte" and developed the Al Quds College of Music, the first academic music education program in the Palestinian territories. She was the coordinator of the Social Art Project of the Willy Brandt Center Jerusalem, which implements cultural initiatives in Israel, the Palestinian territories and Gaza. Today she is managing director of the European Academy for History and Culture and the Monday Forum. She also works as a facilitator and coach with a special focus on the Middle East conflict. She sees the exploration of culture and the diversity associated with it as an effective instrument for peace work.
